Spotlight on Sigmund Rolat and The Exhibit of "The Jews of Czestochowa"

Sigmund Rolat, a major philanthropist, who is Treasurer of the Board for the North American Council of the Museum of the History of Polish Jews, is once again using his extraordinary vision and generosity to make possible the current exhibit of "The Jews of Czestochowa." This powerful and momentous tour traces the history of the Jewish community of Czestochowa from the beginning of the 19th century, through the tragic years of World War II and the post-war period. The exhibit features photographs, precious objects and documentary films based on the memories of Holocaust survivors, including Mr. Rolat.

"The Jews of Czestochowa" is a rare opportunity for visitors to experience first-hand accounts of Polish Jewish history and is an example of the exhibits that the Museum of the History of Polish Jews will display.
