A monument to Jan Karski was dedicated at Georgetown University by Włodzimierz Cimoszewicz, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Poland.

On September 10th, 2002 Polish Foreign Minister Wlodzimierz Cimoszewicz unveiled a monument to Dr. Jan Karski on the campus of Georgetown University. The monument is crafted as a park bench with Karski sitting on it.

The Karski monument was sponsored by the American Center of Polish Culture in Washington D.C.

Karski taught at Georgetown University for 40 years. He was the first to give an eyewitness report of Nazis killing Jews to Allied leaders in London and Washington during the World War II.
